The Buckeye All-Breed Herding Association
FUN TRAINING WEEKEND

When: April 14 & 15, 2012
Hours: Beginning at 9 am and closing at 5 pm
The event will be held regardless of weather.

Location: Claudia and Gary Frank's Finelia Farm
5373 SR 138 NE, Greenfield OH 45123-9518
(About half way between Cinci & Cols.)

This is a fund raiser for our small herding club.

For those not familiar with Finelia Farm…  it’s 135 acres with two small pens, two arenas with obstacles, (AKC, Course A) a two acre field with panels & pen (Course B) and several very large fields up to 50 acres. There is also a double lift field set up too. There is a duck arena with ducks for those who like to work ducks. There will be about 100 sheep of various breeds which are very good for any kind of dogs. There are also goats to work.

This is not a run-thru type event. You will be free to train all day in your choice of training areas and type of stock. You must be far enough along with your training to be safe without supervision. There are no lessons available. Abuse of stock will not be tolerated.

BAHA members = $20 per day.
Non-members = $30 per day for one to two dogs & $35 per day for more than two dogs
Non-members for two days = $50 for one or two dogs & $60 for more than two dogs

We will plan on starting around 9am and ending at 5 pm. You can come anytime during the day.  You will need to check in at the brown barn to pay and to sign a release. Lunch is on your own. Greenfield is a few miles away and has all the typical fast food places & restaurants.

Please clean up after your dogs in the mowed or frequently traveled areas.

There will be a sign up sheet available if needed for the various arenas when you arrive so we can organize the day. We will do three people per hour in the arenas and small training pens.  We will direct folks to the larger fields and you will have to take turns.  Please be reasonable in the time you take if other folks are waiting. For long distance work you may wish to bring walkie talkies and ATVs.

SATURDAY DOUBLE-LIFT - Please contact Tammy in advance if you would like to practice a double-lift on Saturday so we can have extra people available to help with set out.

For any questions please contact me at the address below and to let me know that your planning on coming. I'd like to have some idea of how many folks are planning on attending.

So, let’s get out and have a great weekend of herding!

Just an FYI, cell service is pretty spotty here.

Thanks
Tammy Rothhaar, President BAHA
