2009 Trial Results - Hado-Bar Farms

Report on the Fall 2009 BAHA Herding Trial

The Buckeye All Breed Herding Club just finished another wonderful 3 day herding trial at Hado-Bar farm in Nova Ohio. This is a wonderful facility with wonderful stock. Chris Kleman, Cheryl Sacerich, and Judi Bingham provided the ducks for the trial.

We did 3 days of A course sheep, 3 days of A course ducks and for the first time we did two days of B course ducks. Our first attempt at B course ducks was a great success. We had many lovely runs and only a few duck escapes! The exhibitors really enjoyed the challenge as did the dogs.

Our judges were Joyce Norris, Debbie George and Kathy Allen. They all commented on the quality and competitiveness of the dogs and how nice the stock was.

We are a small club and all club members worked very hard to make the event a success. Judi Bingham and her stock handlers worked hard and did great set out for us, all three days. Special thanks to Nancy Runyon for use of her golf cart to haul B course ducks with!

We would really like to increase the membership of our club. This is a great group of folks and not much is required of your time. We have one meeting a year, (at the trial), and put on this one big event. We did a fun day this year, with members getting a discount and we are hoping to do more of those next year.
